The project involved a 13,300 SF single story addition to the existing facility. The base-bid addition included 13 teaching stations, (1 Pre-K, 6 K classrooms), support spaces and administration. The addition was connected to the existing building corridor at 2 locations. The 6 classroom add-alternate (including 3 Kindergarten classrooms) are located at the rear of the base-bid addition and extend the loop circulation pattern around a new courtyard. Also included is the addition of the School-Based Health Center, a health center that is located adjacent to the gymnasium and will share access from the parent drop off canopy. All interior modifications, including a new fire stair, a new elevator, administrative suite expansion and the conversion of two Kindergarten classrooms into 4 ESOL classrooms are designed to enhance the educational process and improve the school facility.
