Project Name:
Cabin John Volunteer Fire Department
Addition and Renovation
Location:
Potomac, Maryland
Owner:
Cabin John Volunteer Fire Department
Estimated Cost:
$1.7 Million
This is a two-phased project of an existing fire station. Phase I of the project is a new apparatus bay. Due to the lack of sufficient fire hydrants in the town of Potomac, Potomac firefighters must carry their own water supplies to emergencies. This creates the need for a water tanker to be stored at the fire station. The new 2500 SF apparatus bay is meant to house and protect the water tanker from the elements throughout the year. Phase II of the project will focus on the existing building to bring the fire station up to code requirements and upgrade the living conditions for the volunteer fire fighters. Throughout both phases, the exterior of the fire station will be redesigned to create a more compatible look with the surrounding town of Potomac.
