Final Cost:
$1.09 Million
The Bethesda Pool Project is a modernization and addition project for a facility originally built in 1978 on a three-acre parcel. The Pool’s facilities work in conjunction with these surrounding amenities. Because of the facility’s age, the entire facility was badly in need of repairs and small additions to the limited site. These additions proved to enhance the overall appeal and functionality of the recreational facility. The work included the repair of the existing pools, bathhouse, filter room, and site. Addition work to the existing facility included a new snack bar and a new lap pool. The renovation and addition work met the County’s Energy Design Guidelines and the Division of Facilities and Services Design Guidelines and Standards. This project was designed utilizing a Total Design Quality Control Program to eliminate costly errors and omissions.
